Can Trump’s tariffs on imported washing machines help in saving American jobs?

American President Donald Trump

It appears President Trump is slowly delivering on what he had promised before elections.

As per his pre-poll promises, American President Donald Trump is slowly implementing his “America First” trade policy. It aims to give local manufacturers the upper hand to face foreign competition.

During the last week of January, Trump Administration imposed special tariffs (under Section 201) on imported solar panels and washing machines.
