Rohingya Hindus are victims of the massacre, but pro-Rohingya Muslim pseudo lobby has maintained silence on the issue.
A lot has already been written about crisis faced by Rohingya Muslims who are escaping Myanmar. These days, we are bombarded with images of burka-clad women and men with skull cap holding crying babies in their hands. Such pictures are circulated to attract everyone’s attention and to portray Rohingya Muslims as helpless, harmless victims, who are in search of shelter.
Rohingyas are residents of Rakhine state in Myanmar. Now, one might wonder why media is addressing them as Rohingya Muslims. What is the need to mention religion when it’s humanitarian crisis? The answer is the fact that this region consists of Hindus as well as Buddhists. Unfortunately, even Rohingya Hindus are victims of the massacre.
According to the victims who interacted with AFP news agency, Muslim Rohingya militants have attacked several villages of Hindus in Myanmar’s northern Rakhine state. Hundreds of people have been killed and buried in large pits.
“They were wearing black masks and ropes. They murdered Hindus in surrounding villages. Many women have been kidnapped and raped. The attackers asked the survivors to blame the Myanmar Army for the massacre,” said a refugee who interacted with journalists at one of the Hindu refugee camps in Bangladesh.
Myanmar’s army (Burmese Military) has discovered mass graves containing corpses outside Hindu villages during the last four months. Due to such attacks; many Rohingya Hindus have fled from Myanmar and entered Bangladesh.
Muslim extremists killed Hindu men and forced women to convert to Islam?
Recently released short films, as well as articles from BBC and AFP news agency, suggest that Rohingya Hindus fleeing from Myanmar and living in refugee camps in Bangladesh are facing exactly what the Yazidis faced in Syria.
Both, Hindus and Muslims from Myanmar have set up different camps in Bangladesh. As per reports, Hindus living in refugee camps were targeted by Muslim extremists. Young and beautiful women were forced to convert to Islam and marry Muslim men.
“They broke Shaka Pola bangles, removed my vermilion, forced me to wear a burkha and read Namaz five times every day. They said I would be able to live only if I convert to Islam,” said victim Puja Mullick during her interaction with India Today’s journalists. Many female refugees narrated similar story at the refugee camp located in Cox’s Bazar.
Awami League Leader Mohibul Hasan who spoke to Indian journalists also agreed that elements from Rohingya Muslims living in refugee camps in Bangladesh are possibly involved in targeting Hindus from Myanmar.
Country’s I & B Minister Hasanul Haq INU claimed he was not aware of such crimes taking place and assured strict action against culprits. Politicians from Bangladesh stressed on the point that army and police are monitoring Hindu and Muslim refugee camps.
The Pro-Rohingya pseudo lobby has maintained silence on Rohingya terror as well as on the attacks faced by Hindus in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Modi Government must consider helping Hindus as its prime responsibility as they do not have anywhere else to go like their Muslim colleagues who can freely approach Muslim nations for citizenship.
The Central home ministry was probably already aware of Rohingya Muslim extremists as well as terror outfits like Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army operating in Myanmar. Thus, Indian Government tagged Rohingyas as terrorists and showed the willingness to deport them.
